Butler’s Vertical Wheelchair Lift

The Butler Mobility Vertical Wheelchair Lift represents a solution for applications that need public access, but where stairs are not present. Butler vertical lift is often the most cost-effective solution for a public or corporate building looking to comply with The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

As well as ADA-compliance, our Vertical Wheelchair Lift meets or exceeds the Government’s National Safety Code and incorporates many features geared towards active and passive operational safety. Butler Vertical Wheelchair Lifts are V.A. approved and UL-listed.

Main controls are conveniently accessible for all types of users.

Vertical lift safety

The Vertical Wheelchair Lift can be equipped with an automatically retractable end ramp and guard that locks firmly in place during operation. And in an emergency situation or power failure, operation of a dedicated lever transports the unit smoothly and safely to the lower level at normal speed. This ensures that a user is never stranded.

Key-operated controls facilitate further safety and allow for parental control.

Comfort and convenience

All parts of the vertical lift mechanism are carefully concealed to offer a seamless, more attractive appearance as well as optimum safety. Outdoor installations include an enclosure to provide safety and protection from the elements.

As multiple-level safety features, the unit will only operate with the control key in the right position and a kill switch shuts it down in any emergency.

Three locations are provided for directional control – all within easy reach of the user. One is located on the car platform, another at the upper landing underside on one of the tracks, and the third is at the lower landing on the side of the mechanism cover facing the lift car. All locations demand constant pressure for continued operation to meet safety code requirements.

Color options

Butler Wheelchair Lifts are offered in two standard colors – tan and brown. Custom colors are available at additional cost.
